TVS Racing Sets New Top Speed Record at the OMC

TVS Racing, India’s first factory racing team with a 40-year racing tradition, has completed the first edition of its TVS Asia One Make Championship in Thailand, marking yet another great milestone (OMC).

The incredibly competent TVS Asia OMC RR 310, based on the TVS Apache RR 310 motorcycle, set multiple new performance standards at an overseas racetrack, clocking its maximum top speed of 211.2 km/h and assisting the team in achieving its fastest lap time of 1:50.850 at Chang International Circuit.

TVS Racing hosted the inaugural TVS Asia One Make Championship, being the first Indian manufacturer to do it on a worldwide scale. The TVS Asia OMC RR 310 motorcycle reached a top speed of 211.2 km/h, setting a new record. Vorapong Malahuan wins the Championship overall after winning both races in the last round. Extensive engine modifications enabled the team to improve top speed by 9 km/h over the third round. The motorcycle’s suspension and engine braking strategy were improved further.
