Bajaj Auto Introduces the All-New Pulsar P150

Bajaj Auto, the world’s most valued two- and three-wheeler manufacturer, has introduced the all-new Pulsar P150 in India.

This very agile and maneuverable bike features a modern, athletic design that compliments its strong and smooth 150cc engine, providing riders with a great-looking, great-to-ride motorcycle. Pulsar’s third offering on the all-new platform, which debuted in October 2021, follows the 250cc (N250 and F250) and 160cc (N160) models.

Because of increased power delivery, a sportier look, and decreased weight, the new Pulsar P150 has been intended to considerably improve the characteristic ‘Pulsar rush.’ The P150 combines all of the new Pulsar platform’s innovations to inspire a new generation of Pulsar riders by amplifying what Pulsar is known for.

Design

The Pulsar P150 is now more sporty, sharper, and lighter thanks to the new design language. It features a new aerodynamic 3D front that exudes sculptural purity and a dramatic interplay of metalised, dual colours. The single-disc version has a more upright stance, whilst the twin-disc version has a sportier stance with a split seat.

A dynamic tank design is offset by a narrow waistline that extends to a contoured seat profile. The dimensions are designed for rider comfort, with a 790mm seat height. The design provides superior balance and handling, making it one of the most manoeuvrable bikes in its class, thanks to a new mono-shock rear suspension and an underbelly exhaust positioned near the bike’s centre of gravity. Along with these major improvements, there is a 10-kg weight decrease (for the twin-disc variant), This translates to an 11% improvement in power-to-weight ratio, boosting the athlete’s sporting credentials.

Powertrain

The Pulsar P150 is driven by a new 149.68cc engine that delivers class-leading power and fast throttle response. It has a maximum power output of 14.5 PS @ 8500 RPM and a maximum torque output of 13.5 Nm @ 6000 RPM. Most significantly, 90% of the torque is accessible throughout the useful RPM range, allowing the motorcycle to produce the distinctive ‘Pulsar rush’ and be the first off, the line in all situations. Add to it a better gear shift and a damper for better NVH management, and you get the most polished Pulsar 150 to date, which effortlessly glides over city streets.

Price

The Pulsar P150 is reasonably priced, starting at ₹1,19,757 (ex-showroom Delhi) and going up to ₹1,19,565 (ex-showroom Kolkata) for the twin-disc model and $1,16,755 (ex-showroom New Delhi) and ₹1,16,563 (ex-showroom Kolkata) for the single-disc variation. Both variations will be available in five colours: Racing Red, Caribbean Blue, Ebony Black Red, Ebony Black Blue, and Ebony Black White.
