Toyota India Achieves Strong Growth of 36% in June 2023!

The renowned Japanese car manufacturer, Toyota has announced the sales report for June 2023. The renowned carmaker has posted a cumulative sale of 18,237 units in June 2023 which is 11% more than last year.

The Sales Analysis

The Japanese carmaker registered a total sales of 18,237 units in June 2023. This depicts that the carmaker registered a growth of 11% in its sales compared to 16,495 units in June 2022. However, the carmaker’s month-on-month sales are down by 4.41% at 18,237 units in June 2023. In comparison, the May 2023 sales stood at the best of 19,079 units.

The June 2023 sales numbers are still the best monthly sales figures after 19,079 units in May and 18,447 units in March. Talking about the quarter sales, the carmaker registered a growth of 24% in Q2 of 2023 than the last year. The Q2 (April-June) 2023 sales stood at 41,423 units, 10% better than Q1 of 2023 at 46,604 units. The H1 2023 sales stood strong at 102,371 units which is 36% more than the H1 of 2022 at 75,017 units.

The growth and expansion strategy of Toyota

Toyota has implemented decisive actions in 2023 for meeting the rising demand for its vehicles. In May, the company started operating a 3rd shift at its Bidadi plant in Karnataka. This results in a significant production boost of around 30%.

Moreover, Toyota is focused on expanding its customer base with the inauguration of new dealerships in June 2023. This new outlet marks the 21st Toyota customer touch-point in the North-East region of India. It represents the company’s commitment to serving its customers better and expanding its presence across the country.

Our maiden “Great 4X4 Expeditions”, held in the South region, was much appreciated by the cult off-roading community whilst keeping the SUV enthusiasts engaged. This along with the various thrilling experiential drives conducted across the country for the Hilux fan base is enabling Toyota to win more hearts across the country. The commencement of three-shift operations has played a vital role in enhancing operational capabilities and addressing the growing demand for our products.
