Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 Caught in Action–Launch Imminent!

One of the popular 2-wheeler manufacturers, Royal Enfield is gearing up to launch the new generation of Himalayan in India. We can expect that the new generation Himalayan will be more powerful and its launch is slated for Q2 2023.

Now, a slew of spy videos of the upcoming Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 has surfaced online. This time, the bike is tested by Renowned Rally Champion, CS Santosh. Let’s have a glimpse at the details:

About the Royal Enfield Himalayan video

A video of the upcoming Royal Enfield Himalayan has gone viral. The bike is ridden by the prominent Rally Champion, CS Santosh. In the video, the rider has pushed the motorcycle to its full potential through various off-road trails and obstacles. The bike has been ridden off the road through dirt, mud, and slush and performed some jumps and slides. The video has depicted the upcoming Himalayan motorcycle’s off-road potential and capabilities.

Details of upcoming Royal Enfield Himalayan

The previous spy shots of Royal Enfield Himalayan have revealed a bit of its design profile. We can expect that the new generation Himalayan will boast a sleek design with a rugged stance. It will be sleeker and more tilted towards off-roading capabilities with bigger 21-inch wheels at the front and 19-inch at the rear. The tyres of the upcoming Himalayan will feature dual-sport rubber for the enhanced potential of the bike.

In terms of features, the new Himalayan will get all-LED lighting, a fully digital TFT instrument console, and Bluetooth connectivity. The new Himalayan will also get the upside-down forks which are first in single cylinder Royal Enfield range.

Powertrain, Launch Timeline, and the Competition

The new Himalayan will be powered by a 450cc liquid-cooled, single-cylinder petrol engine. This engine will churn out 39hp and 38nm of output mated to a 6-Speed Transmission. The transmission will be reworked with additional features such as a slip and assist clutch.

It is expected that the Royal Enfield will launch the new Himalayan 450 in the festive season of this year. This bike will lock its horns with KTM 390 Adventure and set a new standard in the sub-500cc segment.
