Japanese automaker Toyota has recently hiked prices of its Hybrid SUV, the Urban Cruiser Hyryder, thereby making it dearer by Rs. 50 thousand.
Interestingly, only the strong hybrid variants have witnessed an increase in price and rest all variants’ pricing has remained unchanged. After the price revision, the Hyryder’s ex-showroom prices now start at Rs. 10.48 lakh and top out at Rs. 19.49 lakh. Compared to the previous prices, these new prices are between 2.63% and 3.31% higher than before.

This means that now Toyota has closed the introductory prices of the Hybrid SUV which were open since the month of September 2022.
The Urban Cruiser Hyryder is available in three variants for the strong hybrid powertrain option namely S, G, and V. Following the price increase, the top variant V model will now cost Rs. 19.49 lakh (ex-showroom).

Other Details
The Urban Cruiser Hyryder is the first strong hybrid SUV in its segment. It comes powered by a 1.5-litre petrol engine running on the Atkinson cycle with strong hybrid tech, paired with an e-CVT. This engine produces 91 bhp & 122 Nm of torque whereas the electric motor develops 79 bhp & 141 Nm. The hybrid engine delivers a combined output of 114 bhp and is claimed to deliver a mileage of 27.97 kmpl.
Toyota is also offering the SUV with a CNG powertrain from the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga MPV. The CNG guise of the Hyryder is priced from Rs. 13.23 lakh for the S trim to Rs 15.29 lakh for the G trim. Only a manual transmission is offered with both levels. This makes the Hyryder India’s second SUV with factory-fitted CNG kit after its sibling, the Maruti Grand Vitara.
