Thurstmaster unveils Ferrari Wireless GT Cockpit 430 Scuderia Edition steering wheel

The wait for Gran Turismo 5 for the Playstation 3 seems to be an unending one. But for people who are still hooked onto GT5: Prologue and are constantly gearing up for the final release, there is a new gadget that is sure to set your senses on fire! What we have here is Thrustmaster’s newest addition to their list of steering wheel gaming controllers – the Ferrari Wireless GT Cockpit 430 Scuderia Edition. Yes, its a long name and so is the product. The new rig incorporates an 11-inch steering wheel (which is a 70% scale replica of the F430 Scuderia’s) replete with a mode selector and paddle shifters, mounted on a telescopic/tilt adjustable metal column. Two metal pedals mounted on a heavy base that prevents this rig from moving when you are busy dogfighting with your virtual opponents. The downside comes in the form of limited platform support (only PS3 and PC), the lack of Force Feedback and the high sticker price (USD 250). But hey, its still cheaper than even renting a Ferrari – let alone owning it!
