Thailand gets the Honda Brio facelift

The fast developing Thai car market has just got the Honda Brio facelift! This comes as quite a surprise, considering that it hasn’t been long since the Brio got its last set of updates.

The exterior styling changes to the Brio can be best described as minimal, with the car continuing to sport the same front fascia. Only change that can be seen here is the inclusion of fog lamps, a feature that has so far been missing on the Thailand spec Brio.

The rear of the Brio however, gets quite a few upgrades with the car getting a rear wipe/wash. The car also gets a ‘rear decorative plate’ for the glass hatch. Other changes include a few dashes of chrome and a rear spoiler with LED stop lamp.

The Thailand spec Brio also gets two new color options- Rally Red and Modern Steel Grey. Honda has also added a new flagship variant, the V Limited AT for the Thai spec car. The top of the line V Limited variant comes kitted out with a touchscreen music system that supports GPS navigation.

Mechanically, the car remains unchanged and continues to be powered by the 1.2 liter i-VTEC motor. Transmission options continue to consist of a 5 speed manual gearbox and a CVT automatic transmission.

It isn’t yet known if the new set of updates would make it to India but our guess is that the Indian subsidiary of Japanese car maker would bring the updated Brio to us within a couple of months. Stay tuned to Motoroids for more on the updated Honda Brio hatchback.
