Teaser video reveals that upcoming Bajaj Pulsar RS200 will receive ABS

The upcoming Bajaj Pulsar RS200 is scheduled for a launch on March 26, 2015 and the Indian two-wheeler major has begun promoting this fully faired motorcycle through a teaser video. Interestingly, the teaser video reveals that the Pulsar RS200 will receive ABS! As you can see in the photograph below, an ABS ring can be spotted on the front wheel. Moreover, an ABS symbol can also be seen on the instrument cluster. We believe that to cater to a larger audience, Bajaj will offer ABS as an optional extra and not as a standard fitment. Expect to see the ABS variant to carry a premium of upto Rs 15,000-20,000.

This upcoming RS200 is tagged as “Fastest Pulsar Yet“. So we expect to see a minor power bump over the Pulsar 200NS. The Turkey spec Bajaj Pulsar RS200 that benefits from fuel injection delivers 24.4 PS power at 9,500 rpm and 18.6 Nm torque at 8,000. We are not sure about the India spec Pulsar but expect to see about somewhat similar power output figures as seen on its Turkey based counterpart. Other features include a pair of LED pilot lights around the top edge of the projector headlights, a two piece LED tail light and KTM style LED turn indicators.

Some dealers have started accepting the bookings for the Bajaj Pulsar RS200 and the deliveries are expected to begin after the launch scheduled on March 26, 2015. Which Pulsar would you like to lay your hands on? The ABS equipped model or the standard model? Do let us know your thoughts and opinions through the comments section below.
