The days of the Tata Nano’s ‘advance booking’ are finally over. As per an assurance from Mr. Manoj Arora, Senior Manager, Tata Motors, customers will be able to buy the Nano directly from the showrooms from the month of August/September, without the need of a prior booking.
This has become a possibility since the Nano is now being produced at the Sanand plant in Gujarat which has a capacity to produce as manay as 2,50,000 Nanos per year! Tata claims that the production number can be ramped up even more if there is enough demand for the city car. The company has already delivered 35,000 Nanos out of the 1,00,000 booked and is expected to fulfill those orders real soon. So if you have missed the Nano bandwagon, here’s your chance to go to your nearest Tata showroom and get one (or more) for your family in August!
