Tata Hexa specs and variants leaked ahead of launch in January

We had earlier reported that the Tata Hexa launch has been postponed and is now scheduled to take place in the month of January next year. Now, even as we wait for the home bred brand to launch its upcoming SUV, reports suggest that the specifications and variant list of the Hexa have been leaked. Following is a trim-wise break-up of the Hexa:

Manual transmission:

  • XE 4×2 MT
  • XM 4×2 MT
  • XM 4×4 MT
  • XT 4×2 MT
  • XT 4×4 MT

Automatic transmission:

  • XMA 4×2 AT
  • XMA 4×4 AT
  • XTA 4×2 AT
  • XTA 4×4 AT

Here is the reported service schedule for the upcoming Tata Hexa:

  • 1st free service at 3 months/5,000 kms whichever is earlier
  • 2nd free service at 6 months/10,000 km, whichever is earlier
  • 3rd free service at 12 months/20,000 km, whichever is earlier
  • Subsequent paid service intervals – 12 month/20,000 km, whichever is earlier

Features on the upcoming Hexa SUV from Tata Motors will include 19-inch alloy wheels for higher variants, 5 speed transmission for the base trim and 6 speed transmission for the rest (manual and automatic), foldable key fob, 10 speaker sound system (Harmon Kardon), voice activated command for the instrument cluster and infotainment system on the XM and XT trims and a multi coloured display for fuel level –green, orange and red including a Distance To Empty (DTE) reading.

Safety features on the Tata Hexa will include ABS and dual airbags as standard across the model range (top end trims to receive 6 airbags), ESP, EBD, Vehicle Dynamic Control (VDC), Roll-Over Mitigation (ROM) with ESP, Hydraulic Brake Assistance (HBA), Hill Hold Control (HHC)/ Hill Descent Control (HDC), and Traction Control System (TCS). The model will be available with a 3 year/ 1.5 lakh km standard warranty. The source further went on to add that the price tag of the Hexa, whose tagline is likely to be ‘Confident Luxury’, could range from Rs. 11 to Rs. 18 lakh.
