Tata Aria facelift launch soon. To have auto ‘box & more power

tata aria facelift launch changes

We have always felt that the Tata Aria is the most well sorted out car to have ever come from Tata Motors. We also feel that the car deserves a better fate in our fast maturing car market. However, thanks to some poor marketing and a brand image that people find it tough to associate with a premium car, the Aria could never manage to sell in good numbers and is sadly considered to be a dud-seller.

We recently saw Tata launching the Aria Pure LX variant at a more affordable price of INR 9.95 lakhs. However, in spite of all the price cuts and discounts, the Aria failed to capture the imagination of the car buying lot.

Now, it has emerged that Tata has still not given up on the Aria MPV and will soon come up with a facelift to give the car a new lease of life. The Tata Aria could also get a revised price list along with the refreshed exteriors.

The Tata Aria facelift was first seen at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show and we have already spotted the car testing on Indian roads on a couple of occasions.

The highlight of the refreshed Aria will be a new 6 speed automatic gearbox. The Aria might also get a smoked headlamps, daytime running lights, revised tail-lamps, new design 19” alloy wheels and a slightly modified front grille. On the inside, the car is expected to get an upholstery change and more equipment.

Other than all this, the car will also get a tweaked version of the 2.2 litres Dicor diesel engine. The motor will deliver a max power of 160PS.

Stay tuned to know more on the upcoming Tata Aria facelift.
