We reported in detail when the first units of the Suzuki Inazuma GW250 were dispatched to dealerships earlier this month. The upcoming bike has been spotted on our streets on a couple of occasions since then will formally enter Indian bike market on January 27 . The launch even will take place in Mumbai and present at the launch event will be Suzuki Motorcycles India Limited’s brand ambassador Bollywood actor Salman Khan.
Now, in a report by the good chaps at Indian Autos Blog, it is mentioned that the Suzuki Inazuma will go on sale in India at a stratospheric price of INR 3.13 lakhs (ex-Showroom, New Delhi)! This simply means that the bike will cost around INR 3.50 lakhs on road! At this price, the bike will be considerably pricier than both the Honda CBR250R and the KTM 390 Duke, which is basically the latest sensation in the Indian performance bike market.
The pre-bookings for the bike are underway and the bike can be booked for INR 10,000. Deliveries commence on the day of launch.
Powering the Suzuki Inazuma GW250 is a fuel-injected, parallel twin, 250cc engine that has a max power of 26 bhp and peak torque of 24.4 Nm! The engine comes mated to a 6-speed gearbox and the bike boasts of a semi double-cradle chassis, telescopic front forks, and a seven way adjustable rear mono-shock. The bike will come with disc brakes at both front and rear.
It doesn’t take a genius guess that at INR 3.13 lakhs, the Inazuma won’t win any price/bhp wars in India. Also, with a styling like that, it won’t win any beauty contests either.

Can get a real beast ninja 300 for this price range. can’t believe this ugly designed,under powered(for twin) machine cost this much…Zero buyers from india guaranteed as we have enough options for quarter liter or more for this/below this price range..
how in the hell did Suzuki think about launching this product at that price. . ? I bet nobody even cares a little about this bike, the Fall of Suzuki with the launch of Inazuma :P. . .
Its a market dud even before the launch. In Pune Duke 390 costs 2.05 lacs on road. With its super duper power to weight ratio & 45 BHP of power, who is going to buy a 26 BHP Inazuma at 3.5 lacs? that too with a decade old styling & looks?
IMO, Rather than writing off a model with this kind of absurd pricing, Suzuki should not launch it a the first place.
