The upcoming Hyundai Grand i10 Sedan has been spotted again and the latest set of Grand i10 sedan spy pics come soon after it has become known that the soon–to-be-launched Swift Dzire adversary will be introduced to us on February 4.
The Hyundai i10 Grand seadn, akin to Swift Dzire and the Honda Amaze, will be a ‘boot-ed’ version of the hatchback sibling and could come with a new rear door design, a stubby boot, new mag wheel design and new taillamps.
The Grand i10 sedan could go on sale under the Accent moniker and would measure less than 4 metres in length. This means that the car would benefit from the duty relaxations provided by Govt. of India. Also helping HMIL with pricing the upcoming model ultra competitively would be the fact that it would share plenty with the Grand i10 hatchback.
The Grand i10 sedan will be powered by the same 1.2-liter Kappa2 petrol engine and the 1.1-liter three-cylinder U2 CRDI diesel engine that powers the donor car. Also, the i10 sedan is very likely to benefit from hatchback’s long features list that includes- cooled glovebox, steering mounted controls, in built storage space for audio system and rear ac vents among others.
We won’t be too surprised if we see the Hyundai Grand i10-based compact sedan outselling well established rivals such as the Swift Dzire and the Honda Amaze.
