The good folks at WorldCarFans have once again spotted some 2015 Mercedes C-Class prototypes undergoing road testing. And what you see here on this page are clear spy pics of the interiors (and exteriors) of the next generation C Class.
The 2015 Mercedes C Class will be considerably larger and more upmarket than the current car, thereby further widening the gap between the entry level CLA Class and the C Class.
The new 2015 C Class will also look unlike the current car and will come with a larger greenhouse, more stylish (S Class inspired) taillamps, a larger grille and sweptback headlights.
On the inside, the car will come with a curvaceous dashboard, with the center stack, in typical Mercedes fashion, getting three circular air vents and wood inserts. The center stack will also sport an integrated infotainment system with a gigantic display and digital controls above the COMAND knob.
Rear leg space is expected to be considerably more than that being offered by the current model and we also expect the car to get a larger boot, with an approx capacity of 500 litres.
Details on the engine options are scarce but following are the motors that are expected to make it to the next gen C Class.
- 2.2-liter CDI four-cylinder diesel in three different states of tunes, with max power of 170 HP, 204 HP and 231 HP
- 1.6-liter four-cylinder petrol with max power of 156 HP
- 2.0-liter four-cylinder petrol in three different states of tune, with max power of 184 HP, 211 HP and 252 HP
- 3.0-liter V6 with max power of 333 HP
The car is also being expected to come with a couple of hybrid variants.
