Skoda India recently held a technical briefing conference in Mumbai where it announced the features of its upcoming products for the Indian market. You can read more about the upcoming Skoda Kodiaq SUV here. Meanwhile, the Czech brand also announced that it will launch the Rapid Monte Carlo Edition in India along with the upcoming Octavia RS. The Skoda Rapid Monte Carlo Edition is expected to arrive by the end of August, along with the new Octavia RS, with deliveries scheduled to commence from September.
The Monte Carlo Edition will be available in red colour while the ORVMs, alloy wheels and grille, diffuser and spoiler will be painted black. Interiors will feature aluminium scuff plates, metal finished pedals and faux carbon panels around the cabin. Other interiors features will include all-black theme with contrast stitching on the seats, gear shifter and the flat-bottom, multi-functional steering wheel.
Mechanically, the Rapid Monte Carlo Edition will remain unaltered and will continue to use the 1.5-litre TDI diesel and 1.6-litre MPI petrol units, both producing close to 110 BHP of peak power.
The Rapid Monte Carlo Edition, as aforementioned, will be launched by the end of August with deliveries scheduled to commence from September. The new edition is expected to carry a premium over the standard Rapid.
