So after a long wait, exterior and interior sketches previewed by Skoda have finally turned into a production model. The company has officially taken the wraps off the new Skoda Peaq, a large electric SUV that now sits at the top of its EV range.
The Peaq is designed as a family-focused electric SUV with seating for up to seven passengers. It also brings several new features that have not been seen on a Skoda before. With a long wheelbase, large battery options and a spacious cabin, the Peaq is one of the most important electric vehicles from the brand so far.

The dashboard layout is simple and clean, while physical controls for important functions have been retained. The cabin uses sustainable materials and around 50kg of recycled material has been used across the vehicle.

What Makes The Peaq Special?
The Peaq introduces several firsts for the Czech brand.
These include flush door handles, a 91kWh battery pack, Sonos-developed audio system, dynamic roof shading technology, wireless charging with magnetic alignment and integrated washer nozzles within the wiper system.
The SUV also becomes the largest Skoda ever produced, with the longest wheelbase, biggest battery, largest infotainment screen and the biggest panoramic roof seen on a Skoda vehicle.
India Prospects
While Skoda has not announced any launch timeline, the Peaq has attracted attention because of its size, technology and premium positioning. The electric SUV sits above the brand’s existing SUV range and represents Skoda’s most advanced EV yet.
If introduced here, the Peaq would become one of the most premium electric vehicles in Skoda’s portfolio. Given its large dimensions, three-row layout, 91kWh battery option and extensive feature list, it would be positioned as a flagship offering.
Skoda India has previously indicated its intention to expand its global product portfolio for Indian customers, and the Peaq could be one of the models considered in the future. However, there is no official confirmation regarding launch timing, specifications or pricing for the Indian market at this stage.
