If reports are to be believed, Skoda India has finally announced the launch date of the highly anticipated Octavia RS. The performance oriented version of the standard Octavia will be reportedly launched in India on August 30, 2017.
Previous reports claimed to confirm the specifications of the India-spec Octavia RS that will be available in the 230 PS state of tune. This model is, otherwise, sold across the world with a 245 PS state of tune. The India-spec Octavia RS will be capable of running from 0-100 kmph in 6.8 seconds, all the way up to a top speed of 250 kmph. The only downer for enthusiasts in India would be the fact that the model will be offered only with a six speed DSG automatic transmission.

It is said that the India-bound Skoda Octavia RS can be had in four colour options including Candy White, Race Blue, Corrida Red and Steel Grey. To differentiate the performance spec model from the standard variant, the Octavia RS will feature a boot spoiler, reflective insert for the rear bumper 17 inch wheels and chrome tipped dual exhaust pipes.
Inside, the India-spec Skoda Octavia RS will come equipped with an all black theme, flat bottom steering wheel, contrast red stitching for the leather upholstery and sportier seats. Skoda has already begun accepting bookings for the Octavia RS against an amount of INR 50,000. Stay tuned for updates.
