TVS is gearing up for the launch of a new scooter on February 5, 2018. Apart from a teaser video that was recently released, the two-wheeler manufacturer has remained tight-lipped about any further details about the upcoming scooter. However, based on their sources close to the developments, motoring portal Bikewale report that the upcoming scooter will be christened as the Ntorq 125. If you remember, TVS showcased the ENTORQ premium touring scooter concept at the 2016 Auto Expo but the upcoming scooter isn’t anything like the concept.
The scooter in question was previously spied in action on a YouTube video. While the video has been taken down, the images are still available in our previous article and the tail light on the spied scooter resemble the ones that were revealed in the official teaser video. Going by the nomenclature, the upcoming scooter will feature a 125cc engine and will compete against the likes of Honda Grazia and Suzuki Access 125. Performance numbers would be at par with its rivals in the segment.
The spy video revealed that the upcoming scooter will feature a apron mounted halogen headlight which will most likely be accompanied by a LED DRL. The front blinkers are mounted on the panel above the apron. All the ride related information is displayed on an all-digital instrument console. The scooter will also feature a external fuel filler cap which will be placed right above the tail light. Suspension duties will be performed by a conventional telescopic unit while braking power will be provided by a petal disc brake at the front.
We’re still not a 100% whether TVS will christen it as the Ntorq 125 and we wouldn’t have to wait for long to hear its official name. As aforementioned, the scooter will be unveiled on February 5, 2018 and we’ll be bringing you all the LIVE updates from the event. Stay tuned!
