It seems like TVS-BMW G 310 R may arrive with a fully faired sibling at the 2016 Auto Expo. The folks sitting at motoring portal RushLane’s office stumbled upon this new development just a month before the Auto Expo. The fully faired version is reportedly named as U69 and will debut along with the G 310 R at the upcoming motoring event scheduled in NCR.

The fully faired version will be propelled by the same power plant that powers the G 310 R but reportedly with a different state of tune to match its characteristics. The G 310 R’s 313cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine on the with four valves and two overhead camshafts together with electronic fuel injection develops a praiseworthy 34 hp of power at 9,500 rpm and 28Nm of torque at 7,500 rpm.

Cosmetic upgrades in the form of addition of a full fairing will deliver improved aerodynamics. So while the G 310 R will compete against the likes of the much appreciated KTM 390 Duke and the Benelli TNT25, the fully faired avatar will lock horns against the KTM RC390 and the Yamaha YZF-R3 to name a few. Pricing will be a crucial factor and local manufacturing and assembly at TVS’s plants should take care of that.
