French automobile manufacturer Renault has received a great response for its Kwid hatchback, with the model recently achieving a sales milestone of 1.3 lakh units. The company had earlier stated that they were working on a few more variants of the Kwid, the launch of which would follow soon.
Renault current sells three variants of the Kwid including the standard Kwid with a 0.8-litre engine, Kwid 1.0L and the Kwid Easy-R AMT. Now, according to reports, the company is preparing for the launch of yet another variant, known as the Kwid Climber.

Reports suggest that dealer training for the Renault Kwid Climber has begun this week. This information indicates that the launch of the Renault Kwid Climber is not far away. Renault had showcased the Kwid Climber concept at the 2016 Auto Expo in Delhi last year.
While no official details are available at the moment, we can tell you quite a few things based on the concept showcased at the 2016 Auto Expo. The Kwid Climber concept comes with visual updates that include a Flame Orange paint-job with electric blue accents that can be seen on the wheel arches, mirror caps and wheels. Also seen on the concept were headlamp protectors, beefier grille, faux skid plates, bigger wheel arches and bigger tyres wrapped in diamond cut alloy wheels.

Inside, the Kwid Climber concept featured orange accents on the HVAC vents, centre console, gear lever and door handle. The contrast orange stitching can be seen on the seats as well as the steering wheel. Renault is likely to equip the Kwid Climber with the 1.0-litre engine mated to a manual transmission. Whether or not an AMT is offered remains to be seen. Stay tuned for more details that could surface soon.
