Royal Enfield recently expanded its product portfolio with the launch of the new Thunderbird X range which comprises of Thunderbird 500X and 350X. Our Editor, Amit Chhangani, recently took the bigger Thunderbird out for a spin to find out how is the new motorcycle different from the standard 500cc model.
Before you watch the video, let us run you through the performance numbers of the motorcycle. The Thunderbird X range uses the same engine as the standard models. Thus, the Thunderbird 500X uses a single cylinder, air cooled, 499cc engine fed by an electronic fuel injection system which produces maximum power of 27.2 bhp @ 5250 rpm and generates 41.3 Nm torque @ 4000 rpm.
