Royal Enfield Line-Up Receives BS-IV And AHO Updates, Prices Increased

With the upcoming BS-IV norms set to kick in from April 1, 2017, automobile manufacturers are updating their products to comply with the upcoming emission norms. Bajaj Auto recently announced that it has updated all its products to conform to the BS-IV emission norms. Now, yet another motorcycle manufacturer joins the list.

According to reports, Eicher Motors owned Royal Enfield has updated its complete Indian portfolio and now, all the products from the company are BS-IV compliant. However, the Chennai based bike maker has not officially revealed any update on the same, dealerships across the country have reportedly confirmed that manufacturing of the BSIV compliant units have begun and deliveries are likely to begin from April.

Along with BS-IV compliant engines, Royal Enfield has also added the Always Headlamp On (AHO) feature to the complete line-up. Dealers are said to have begun accepting bookings for the new models ahead of their arrival. The complete range of Royal Enfield motorcycles has witnessed a price hike of about INR 4000. With the hike into consideration, the range now starts at INR 1.27 lakh for the Electra 350, all the way up to INR 2.05 lakh for the Continental GT (all prices, Ex-showroom, Delhi).
