Rossi to participate in 2010 WRC round!

The Doctor doesn’t seem to have satiated his hunger for competing in the World Rally Championship (WRC) rounds yet.

Valentino Rossi is going to take part in the 2010 Mexico Rally which is included in the WRC calendar. He will be driving in a Ford Focus at the rally scheduled for next year. Rossi has told the Italian newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport that it is the last chance to race in WRC before new rules in 2011 and he can’t let the opportunity escape.

The 30-year old motorsports legend is not new to the world of car rallying. Rossi’s car rallying debut was at the Wales Rally of Great Britain in 2002. He then drove in the New Zealand rally which was a part of the 2006 WRC calendar. The eight times MotoGP champion also contested in the 2008 Wales Rally. Rossi had previously announced that he is willing to consider a shift to the world of car racing-rallying provided the opportunity is good enough.
