Now, Rolls Royce India has communicated to us that it has launced the limited edition model in India and the new Rolls Royce Ghost V-Specification will be sold in the country for a premium of INR 30 lakhs over the regular model.
“This limited series celebrates one of Ghost’s defining characteristics; the exquisite 6.6 litre Rolls-Royce V12 engine,” said Torsten Müller-Ötvös, Chief Executive, Rolls-Royce Motor Cars. “Since its introduction in 2009, an extraordinary marriage of assured presence and remarkable driving dynamics has endeared Ghost to a new generation of highly discerning businessmen and women, ensuring the car’s position as the statement of choice for a growing band of successful entrepreneurs around the world.”
Powering the new Rolls Royce Ghost V-Specification is an updated twin-turbocharged 6.6-liter V12 engine that has a max power of 593 hp (601PS). This means that the latest limited edition model is more powerful than the regular Ghost by as much as 30hp. The engine also boasts of better fuel economy figure (17.3 mpg vs 16.7 mpg, as per US cycle) and marginally lesser C02 emissions (327 grams vs. 329 grams).
Visual updates to the Rolls Royce Ghost V-Specification include-
- Five new exterior colors- Graphite, Black Sapphire, Black Kirsch, Arctic White and Infinity Black
- A hand-painted coachline
- V-Specification motif
- 21-inch Part-Polished wheels
- Optional chrome exhausts
- Bespoke tread-plate showing car’s motif
- New clock design
- Contrast piping and stitching for leather upholstery
Rolls-Royce Motor Cars’ General Manager for Emerging Markets, Herfried Hasenoehrl, said: “Ghost and Ghost Extended Wheelbase have been the most successful models in India for Rolls-Royce to date. Ghost has been feted by the new maharajas of business, celebrities and other highly successful individuals.”
