Rolls-Royce Ghost V-spec has been officially unveiled. The Ghost V-Spec is Rolls-Royce’s top of the line performance model. The V-spec celebrates 5 years of Ghost as a go-faster edition. The limited edition Ghost V-Spec will be available only between January and June 2014.
The letter V in the V-spec denotes the roman number V, representing 5, and the V from its v 12 engine as well. The letter V primarily denotes 5 years since the RR 200EX concept came out of the egg, and finally grew up into the Ghost.
Powering the V-Spec Ghost is the same 6.6-liter twin-turbo petrol engine as the regular Ghost. However, the V-spec boasts 30bhp more, increasing peak output to 593bhp. Funny enough, the 0-100km/h sprint time to still remains at 4.7 seconds, which still is very fast for a near 2.5 ton monster. Top whack for the car is electronically limited to 250 km/h. The V-Spec ghost may be quicker to the top speed mark thanks to the thirty horses, but we cannot confirm that as of now.
Other points of distinction are part-polished 21inch alloys, ‘V’ emblem on the door sills, arm rest and screen lids. Rolls Royce recommends five colors for the V-Spec, but you can get your V-Spec Ghost painted in any of the 44,000 colors available.
The price of the V-Spec is close to Rs 1.8 crore in the UK. An Indian equivalent would be almost double that figure
