Renault India has now released the first teaser image of the upcoming Koleos facelift and there are good chances that the updated Koleos will make its India debut at the fast approaching Auto Expo 2014. Talking about the upcoming vehicle, Renault has said, “An imposing front grille makes its presence felt on any sort of road. The all-new Koleos is on its way.”
Much like the Fluence, the Koleos hasn’t been able to leave a mark on the sales chart of Indian car market and this could be set to change with the advent of the facelift.
It is being said that the India-spec Renault Koleos facelift will not just look fresher, but will also sport a front-wheel drive system and an updated motor. The improved 2.0 liter diesel engine is expected to have a max power output of 171 hp, which is 23 hp more than the current model’s engine. The motor would also boast of more torque (360 Nm vs 314 Nm)
It is highly likely that the Renault Koleos facelift will have a more competitive price tag, in order to give the car’s dismal sales performance a shot in its arm! However, this would mean that the car would lose on some of its equipment, such as the high end Bose audio system. There are good chances that the 2WD variant of the upcoming Renault Koleos facelift will cost only a little more than the hugely popular Toyota Fortuner.
