Seen here are some Fiat 500X patent images that recently leaked online. The much talked about car will go on sale later this year and will be built at Fiat’s Melfi in Italy.
The Fiat 500X is basically a crossover that is an amalgam of Fiat 500 and several SUV design cues. The 500X shares its underpinnings with the Punto and there are many who believe that this vehicle is India bound! The upcoming vehicle is almost 4.2 meters long and would come with 4wd option on higher variants. The entry level variant though, will be powered by a 0.9-liter TwinAir petrol engine and will have a 2wd configuration. The higher variants will be powered by the 1.3-liter MultiJet diesel engine and will have optional 4wd.
There are good chances that the Fiat 500X will donate plenty of parts to the upcoming entry-level model Jeep’s line up. The Fiat 500X, in all likelihood, will make its public debut at the Geneva Motor Show in March.
