Red Rooster Racing all set for the National Rotax Max Karting Championship

The National Rotax Max Karting Championship will take place on the 10th and 11th of July 2010 at the MMS Track (Airport) in Hyderabad. The Red Rooster Racing team is all set with 7 racers of three categories who are confident enough to bag a podium finish. The National Rotax Max Karting Championship brings together 46 drivers from across the country amongst which 7 talented drivers represent Red Rooster Racing. All emerging racing champions have spent quality time in practice and are all geared up to tackle the corners.

The team consists of strong drivers and a highly experienced technical team, headed by N. Leelakrishnan. Kush Maini (10 years) & Abhirath Shetty (11 Years) will participate in the Micromax category. Arjun Maini (13 years) & Abha Mankar (16 years) in the Junior category, and Ameya Walavalkar (27 years), Chirag Malhotra (19 years) and Mohit Ahuja (18 years) will take part in the Senior Category. The team claims a high probability of victory in this round.

“With 46 talented drivers, it’s not going to be a walk in the park, regardless of whether the driver is talented or the team is experienced,” said N. Leelakrishnan, Chief Technical Director at Red Rooster Racing. It would not be wrong to agree with Mr Leelakrishnan as the MMS track in Hyderabad is an 850 meter track which is one of the most technically challenging tracks with a mixture of several medium and slow corners and two very fast sweeping right handers. As far as the tarmac is concerned, it is smooth and provides enough grip to return an exciting driving experience. As per the regulations set by the championship, the number of laps will vary from category to category.

“As a company, the aim and endeavour of Red Rooster Racing is to discover and foster Indian talent for the world stage. Karting championship is where you can find real, fresh talent. All the kids have shown plenty of promise over the last season and the time has come to deliver. I see that the track is not an easy one, but I believe our drivers have it in them to cope with the challenge. And with Leelakrishnan at the helm and mentoring the kids with his knowledge and experience, I have no doubt that we will do well,” said Mr. Dinesh Reddy, Founder, Red Rooster Racing.

Racers from the Red Rooster Karting team will be driving the 28.5 bhp Tony Karts which have a top speed of 120kmph. These karts are amongst the best and are designed by the team to provide additional stability and control.
