Bajaj clears doubts on Pro Biking dealerships / service centers

A couple of days ago we told you that our readers are reporting dwindling activity at a couple of Bajaj Pro Biking dealerships and service centers in and around Pune / Mumbai. We also promised you that we would bring you an update from Bajaj themselves regarding the same. So here it is. All Bajaj Pulsar and Kawasaki Ninja 250R owners can rest assured that their bikes and their related service and availability of spares will remain intact. Bajaj Auto has confirmed that only a couple of dealerships are shutting down due to some ownership / technical issues in Pune and Vashi areas. Bajaj holds an ownership and / or stake in most Pro Biking dealerships around the country to maintain quality levels and avoid scrupulous activities that are generally found at most non-authorised service centers. It seems that these stakes themselves have led to a conflict of interests within the parties, with the dealer/service centre opting to exit from the arrangement in the reported cases. In such a scenario, Bajaj however, will promptly appoint new dealers, authorized Pro Biking service centers and spare parts outlets to continue with their customer support. In Pune, the only reported outlet that is about to shut down its Bajaj Pro Biking operations is Shirode Auto.  We are sure that Bajaj will quickly find an alternative arrangement for the customers who were being catered by this service station. This update from Bajaj will hopefully clarify most doubts in the minds of its customers. In a statement from Bajaj, in reply to the complaints, the  responding officials have said that with the advent of more powerful machines like the Ninjas and the KTMs (at a later point) in the country, the number and reach of Probiking showrooms is only going to increase with time, and there’s no reason why any of the Bajaj or Kawasaki owners should get worried.
