Along side the Enduro Concept SUV, making its debut at the 2015 Seoul Motor Show is the Hyundai RM15 Concept. Unlike the Rally bike inspired SUV, this concept impresses us with what happens underneath. Powered by a transverse, mid-mounted, Theta 2.0-liter T-GDI turbocharged petrol engine, the 4-cylinder unit produces 300PS at 6,000 rpm and 383 Nm of twist at 2000 clicks. Driving the rear wheels through 6-speed manual gearbox, the RM15 leaps from 0 to 100 km/h in a mere 4.7 seconds.

Weighing 1260 kilos, the Hyundai RM15 has an aluminum core structure with carbon-fiber reinforced plastic body panels. Weight is distributed almost evenly in a 43:57, front to rear ratio. The lightweight race car features an integrated sub-frame and a WRC-inspired roll-cage to enhance stiffness. Riding on 19″, monoblock forged alloy wheels wrapped in 235/35 R19 (front) and 265/35 R19 (rear) rubber, this is one Hyundai that evokes some new thinking. Finished in signature colors of the manufacturer’s ‘N’ Motorsport division, the Racing Midship 2015 (RM15 ) does remind of the Veloster.
