Bajaj’s venture into the above INR 1 lakh motorcycle segment has proven to be fruitful and it seems that the two-wheeler maker is in no mood to stop surprising us anytime soon. After the success of the new Dominar, the most expensive Bajaj motorcycle till date, the two-wheeler maker plans introduce more products in the same segment over the next three months. In an interview, Rajiv Bajaj, Managing Director, Bajaj Auto promised ‘lots more action’ in the above Rs 1 lakh segment.
Bajaj said, “We would like to introduce more and more products in the Dominar range, in the Rs 1-2 lakh price range. We have some very active plans for this and in the next 2-3 months we should be able to make some important announcement on this. (New launches) could be in the Dominar brand, KTM brand or it could be a new brand.”

So what can we expect in the coming days? KTM recently updated it Duke and the RC range and the adventure series is still some time away. The most likely product that we expect to see is the 375cc fully faired motorcycle that we first saw at the 2014 Auto Expo in Delhi, the Pulsar 400SS. Most likely to arrive with the RS400 badge, the new motorcycle is likely to share its motor with the Dominar 400 although with a slightly different state of tune. We’d hold our thoughts till we hear some more official details.
