The Indian subsidiary of the Stuttgart based car maker, Porsche India will be launching the baby SUV Macan in India around June. According to reports, the Porsche Macan India launch is planned to happen in May-June this year. The Porsche Macan will be sold in India via the CBU route like all other offerings. CBU route for the Macan will keep the pricing at a premium.
Built on the same platform as the Audi Q5, the Porsche Macan will be sold in India in two versions- Macan Turbo and Macan S Diesel. Powering the Turbo is a 3.6-litre biturbo petrol motor that churns out a whopping 400 PS of max power. As per Porsche’s claims, the Turbo hits the ton from standstill in a scant 4.5 seconds.
The oil burner S Diesel version will be powered by a 3.0 litre diesel which also performs the duty in the Cayenne and the Panamera. This motor outputs 258 PS of max power. This engine propels the SUV to the ton in 6.3 seconds while accelerating to its top speed of 230 kmph.
Both the Macan models in India will come with all wheel drive and Porsche’s 7-speed PDK transmission as standard.

Hill descent control
Torque vectoring
Active suspension
Off-road package that lifts its ride height by 40mm
