The Nissan Terrano refuses to go out of news! While we have talked in detail about the car’s design, what we have here today are some brochure images of the soon-to-be-launched Duster-based crossover.
The diesel variants of Terrano get the 1.5-liter oil burner in two states of tune- 85PS and 110PS.
The XE, which is the entry level variant and will be powered by the 85PS oil burner, will come equipped with a driver side airbag, front and rear power windows and a multi-information display. The next variant, the XL, gets gets more safety features such as ABS, EBD and Brake Assist. The car also gets a music system and foglights. XL can be bought with any of the two diesel engines. The flagship variant, the XV, will come with only the 110PS engine and will be equipped with dual airbags, ABS, EBD, 16-inch alloy wheels, reverse parking sensors, rear AC and leather seats.
There is only one petrol powered variant, which comes with ABS, EBD, Brake Assist, music system, piano black center console and foglights. This variant is powered by a 1.6 litre, 104 PS petrol engine.
The pre-bookings for Terrano are underway since Sept 1 and while the prices aren’t out yet, Nissan India has announced that the Terrano will have a sub-INR 10 lakhs price tag.
Save for the entirely new front fascia and the revised rear end, the car remains largely similar to the Duster. While the front end gets a new grille, bumper, headlights and a slightly revised hood, the rear comes with a a new tailgate, a revised rear bumper and a new set of tail lamps that extend all the way into the tailgate.
On the inside, the interior panels get different faux wood inserts, a set of rectangular air vents at the centre of dashboard, a revised instrument binnacle and a new ‘Nissan-ised’ steering wheel. The car also seems to have got a different audio system interface.
