Nissan Resonance Concept Wins Best Concept Vehicle Award at NAIAS 2013

The Detroit Auto Show sees hundreds of concept cars being unveiled and showcased over a period of few days. The auto show provides a good platform for manufacturers to gauge the public response and see if their hard work has paid off.

We reported in considerable detail about most of the concepts that were previewed at the Detroit Auto Show and now, EyesOn has come up with their pick for the Best Concept Vehicle Award during the 2013 North American International Auto Show (official name for Detroit Auto Show).

The winners of this award are decided by a panel of automotive designers and the Nissan Resonance Concept, which will spawn the next gen Murano, has bagged the Best Concept Vehicle award for NAIAS 2013.

The Nissan Resonance gets a new age design which features a ‘floating roof’ and the car also gets eye-catching interiors. Most of the design cues and features on the Nissan Resonance will make it to the next generation of the Nissan Murano.

The Resonance Concept is powered by a hybrid powertrain consisting of a small IC engine and an electric motor. Mated to the powerhouse is a CVT ‘box which transmits the power to all four wheels.
