Nissan India has rejigged their product lineup ahead of the festive season by trimming the number of grades of each product by half. The petrol variant of the Nissan Micra hatchback is now only available with the X-Tronic CVT for both XL and XV grades, while the diesel variant’s base XE and top-end XVP grades have been discontinued. A driver airbag is standard across the Micra range , while dual airbags are fitted in the petrol variant’s XV grade.

The base XV grade of the Micra Active has also been discontinued, leaving only the XL, XV and XV S grades of the budget hatchback in the market. As for the Sunny, the mid-size sedan’s XV grade (petrol) now comes with a CVT as standard, which was earlier offered only on the XL grade (petrol) as an option. Also the XV grade of the diesel variant of the Sunny with leather upholstery has now been discontinued.
