We have made no bones about declaring our love for the new Triumph Bonneville motorcycles family, without even having seen them in the flesh. The entry level Street Twin, the new Bonneville T120 and the Thruxton, in all their different flavours, look absolutely smashing and manage to fuse retro charm with modern function seamlessly. So while we have written in great detail about the new models in our exhaustive unveiling report of the new models, we thought that this newly released promo video of the Bonneville family was also worth sharing.
The promo takes us back in time showing the original triumph Bonneville motorcycles creating their legendary land speed records on the salt flats, winning races, and making dashing young boys look ever better. The video then fast forwards to current day, where the modern renditions of these timeless beauties in the form of the Street Twin, Bonneville T120 / T120 Black and the Thruxton / Thruxton R still manage to capture the imagination of motorcycle aficionados as effortlessly as they did decades ago. The video also underlines the enhanced performance, drive by wire tech, electronics and carefully created exhaust note of the motorcycle, apart from picturing them stylishly.
So while the Street Twin is promoted as a motorcycle which is meant for customization, and ‘to be made you own’, the Bonneville T120 is the ‘timeless icon’. The Thruxton R, which is the most powerful model of the lot is projected as the best Cafe Racer ever.
