The Superb facelift boasts of a range of changes, all of which work together to help the car look fresher and modern. These updates should enable the car to soldier on until the advent of the all new model in a couple of years.
Changes to the front include a new revised grille, new Skoda corporated identity logo and a new set of headlights that sport the quentissential LED DRLs. When viewed from side, the car looks almost the same, with the only change being the new set of mag wheels.
At the rear, the Superb facelift sports a new bumper, which no longer has registration plate housing, new boot lid and a set of new LED taillights.
On the inside, the car remains largely unchanged and continue to offer high quality materials and a long equipment list. However, the car does get a new three-spoke steering wheel.
Drivetrain options for the updated model have been carried over from the outgoing car, which means that the petrol variant is powered by a 1.8 litre turbo motor outputting 160PS. This engine can be had with either a 6 speed manual or a 7 speed automatic gearbox. The diesel variant is powered by the much acclaimed 2.0-liter turbocharged four pot oil burner outputting 140PS of max power. This engine comes mated to a 6 speed automatic gearbox.
