India’s largest car maker Maruti Suzuki has showcased the Swift Sport at the Auto Expo 2014. Powering the Swift Sport is a 1.6-liter four pot motor which produces 100 PS of max power @ 6,900 rpm and 160 Nm of peak torque @ 4,400 RPM.
The standard features on the Swift Sport include :
- ABS, EBD, ESP
- Dual front, side, curtain and driver knee airbags
- HID projector headlights with headlamp washers
- Automatic headlights
- Power folding wing mirrors
- Sports seats
- Stainless steel sport pedals
- Keyless entry with engine start button
- Bluetooth compatible music system.
The Suzuki Swift Sport completes the 0-100 kmph dash in a scant 8.7 seconds and keeps accelerating to its top-speed of 193 kmph. Even after such performance figures, the Swift Sport returns a fuel efficiency of 15.625 kmpl in the EU cycle.
