The Ssangyong Rodius, which made its international debut at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show, is equipped with a 2.0 liter turbocharged e-XDi200 diesel motor that has a max power output of 155 hp and a peak torque of 360 Nm. The 2.0 liter diesel mill is mated to a 6-speed manual transmission. The Ssangyong Rodius MPV is also available in select markets as the Korando Turismo or Stavic.
Ssangyong says “The all purpose Rodius has been developed to provide the flexibility of a recreational vehicle, the styling of an SUV and the ride and comfort of a luxury saloon.”
The Ssangyong Rodius is a 11-seater premium multi utility vehicle that is currently on sale in Europe, Africa, Russia and China. The Ssyangyong Rodius MPV measures a massive 5130 mm in length, 1915 mm in width and 1815 mm in height. The wheelbase is an extensive 3000 mm and has a ground clearance of 170 mm. The vehicle is sold in 9, 10 or 11-seat configurations in Luxury Touring (LT), Grand Touring (GT) and Royal Touring (RT) variants.
The Ssangyong Rodius is equipped with a hexagonal radiator grille and a trapezoidal bumper, hinged car-like doors and distinctively shaped D pillar. The MPV also boasts of active safety features such as ESP, active roll over protection and brake assist system. In terms of passive safety, the Ssangyong Rodius is equipped with two high strength sub-frames fitted to the front and the rear.
