The wait is almost over! The new Skoda Octavia India launch is merely few hours away and those who have been waiting for this car to hit the dealerships can soon grab your chequebook and head to the nearest Skoda dealership.
The new Skoda Octavia, which is in its seventh generation now (third in India), replaces the very successful Laura and comes to us with as many as three different engine options. The car will be offered in a total of three trim levels, viz- Active, Ambition and Elegance.
The engine options for the new Skoda Octavia are-
- 1.4 litre TSI Turbocharged Petrol. Max power- 140PS; Max torque- 250 Nm; 6 speed manual transmission; Claimed FE- 16.8 kmpl
- 1.8 litre TSi Turbocharged Petrol. Max power- 180PS; Max torque- 250 Nm; 7 speed DSG auto transmission; Claimed FE- 14.7 kmpl
- 2.0 litre TDi Turbocharged Diesel. Max power- 143PS; Max torque- 320 Nm, 6 speed manual transmission, DSG optional; Claimed FE- 20.6 kmpl (manual) and 19.3 kmpl (DSG)
The Octavia 1.4 will be sold only in Active and Ambition trim.
The Octavia 1.8 TSi will be sold only in the Elegance trim.
The Octavia 2.0 TDi Manual will be sold in Active and Ambition trim and the DSQ equipped diesel variant will be sold in Ambition and Elegance trim.
