We have been reporting in detail about the upcoming new Hyundai Santa Fe, whose launch is just around the corner. The new Hyundai Santa Fe India launch will happen on Feb 5 and the car will be put on display at the fast approaching Auto Expo 2014.
As can be seen in these images, the new Hyundai Santa Fe test drive cars have already started reaching dealerships and here we have all the information on the upcoming model.
The new Santa Fe is a five-seater model and unlike what was being earlier expected, the sever-seater Grand Sante Fe, which has three rows of seating, hasn’t made it to our country owing to it being available in LHD configuration only. While the images here show the automatic variant of the Santa Fe, we will also get a manual gearbox variant. The India-spec Santa fe will be available in both 2WD and 4Wd variants and powering the car would be a four-cylinder, 2.0-liter CRDi diesel engine that has a max power of 197 PS at 3,800 rpm and peak torque of 44.5 kgm, produced between 1,800-2,500 rpm.
Features list for the new Santa Fe flagship variant will include- 12-way adjustable seat, dual-zone automatic climate control, 6 airbags, chilled glovebox, daytime running lights, 18-inch diamond cut alloy wheels and HID headlights.
The new Hyundai Santa Fe will come to us via CKD route and is being expected to cost around INR 23 lakhs (ex-Showroom) for the entry level variant.
