Regulars here would remember that we recently reported about new Honda CR-V on its way to India and now, Honda Cars India have published a teaser for the new Honda CR-V on their official website.
While we are very happy that the new Honda CR-V is finally making it to our car market, we are pretty upset about the fact the new car won’t have any diesel variant on offer. It may be noted that Honda Cars India have been rapidly losing its market share due to the lack of diesel engines to offer and this spell of low sales will, most probably, end only when the Brio Amaze diesel enters our country.
The new CR-V features a modern design that has traces of the last generation of the car. The X-mas tree rear tail lights styling has been retained on the latest model and the interiors too seem to be an evolved species of those on the last gen car.
Powering the car is a 2 Liter-4 cylinder i-VTEC engine that produces a decent power-torque figure of 153Bhp-190Nm. The engine will be available with a five speed manual and five speed automatic gearbox options.
The new CR-V is being expected to come to us with a price tag of around Rs 28 lakh.
