Honda unwrapped its lineup of scooters for 2013 alongside the inauguration of their new technical centre at Manesar. Being the king in the scooter segment, the updated unveiling came as a surprise. The prominent change comes through incorporation of a new technology called HET (Honda Eco Technology) asserted to enhance the efficiency figures of its scooter lineup. Honda claims the new technology would boost the economy figures to the magical 60 kpl mark.
The refreshed lineup includes the 109cc Honda Activa featuring abovementioned HET would now be available in 5 colour options i.e. Wild Purple, Grey, Pearl White, Black and Red and retail at INR 47,188 (ex-showroom, Delhi).
The more premium Honda Aviator gets a new Metallic Royal Gold colour as a 2013 update in addition to HET. The feature laden Aviator would be available at INR 48,212 with the Deluxe version at a slightly higher premium of INR 53,531. Both ex-showroom Delhi prices.
The sporty and our favourite Honda Dio gets a new Pearl Yellow shade as a 2013 update apart from HET and would be available at INR 44,701 ex-showroom Delhi.
Talking of the technical centre located in the vicinity of the Manesar facility is spread across 10,000 square metres and boasts a wind tunnel testing facility. Now that certainly sounds great news- as apart from the usual aerodynamic tests, we are assuming this facility as a launch-pad for bigger bikes from Honda.
