The new Honda City, in its diesel avatar, has a ARAI certified fuel efficiency of 26 kmpl. The 1.5 liter diesel engine is mated to a 6 speed manual transmission. The petrol engine is the same 1.5 liter i-VTEC with some minor revisions.

U r correct, it just a start, city is new comer… Let it get stable for 6 – 8 months then we can see real figures for both car… I think Verna best looking car in its segment..& it due for upgrade in nnext year.. 2015 so.. We will see battle burning hot….

  • City has sold 31 units in the last quarter of 2013… So all the potential customers have been waiting for the new model to arrive…

    So it would be like this = 16471/ 6months for City = 2745 units/month

    21575/ 6months for Verna = 3595 units/month

Therefore its still Verna which is the king in the segment..
