Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI) introduced the Activa 4G, the fourth generation upgrade of its 110 cc automatic scooter with new BSIV and AHO compliance. The model has been launched with a price tag of INR 50,730 (Ex-showroom, Delhi).
The new Activa comes with new features such as a redesigned front center cover design and a mobile charging socket. A few features carried over from the previous generation model include tubeless tyres, under seat storage space, and CLIC mechanism (CLIC or the Convenient Lift up Independent Cover). The Activa 4G will be offered in two new paintjobs: Matt Selene Silver Metallic and Matte Axis Grey Metallic.
The Honda Activa 4G comes equipped with Combi Brake System (CBS) with Equalizer technology. The Equalizer in the CBS distributes braking force proportionately between front and rear wheels simultaneously by pressing just the left lever. This results in reduced braking distance & improved balance. The Honda Activa 4G is now both AHO and BS-IV compliant. The model continues to be powered by the same 109 cc Eco Technology (HET) engine that produces 8 bhp at 7500 rpm and 9 Nm of torque at 5500 rpm.
Speaking on the occasion, Yadvinder Singh Guleria, Senior Vice President – Sales and Marketing, Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India, said, “With trust of over 1.5 crore Indian families, Honda’s iconic Activa is the first automatic scooter to become not only India’s but also World’s Number 1 selling two-wheeler in 2016. The fourth generation BS-IV complaint upgrade of the most loved family scooter -Activa 4G is ready to delight customers once again with added convenience of mobile charging socket & new colors.”
