Almost every car enthusiast across the country must be aware by now that Audi India would launch the Audi S6 4.0 TFSI Quattro in Indian car market today. We have already seen teasers of car launch floating on Facebook and Audi India has been using the trend #TheNextAudi to promote the car’s launch on Twitter.
The Audi S6 4.0 TFSI Quattro will come to us via CBU route and hence, expect the Audi S6 India price to be somewhat stratospheric price tag.
In India, the S6 will join the Audi S4, the performance variant of the A4 sedan. The S4 won a lot of appreciation from us back when we spent a day testing it on varied terrain.

Powering the new Audi S6 4.0 TFSI Quattro is a 4.0 litre V8 TFSI petrol engine that has a max power of 420bhp and a peak torque of 550Nm. The new Audi S6 is capable of hitting 100kmph from standstill in a “sportscar-rivalling” 4.8 seconds. The engine comes mated to a 7-speed S Tronic DSG transmission that transfers the power to all four wheels through the Quatto all-wheel drive system.
The car’s motor comes equipped with “Cylinder On Demand” technology that deactivates as many as four of the total eight cylinders under low load conditions. Hence, this enables the motor to have an optimum mix of performance and fuel economy.
The list of optional extras that the car comes with includes a sport differential, 20 inch wheels and carbon ceramic disc brakes.
Talking about the standard features, the car comes “factory-fitted” with Audi Drive Select system that allows you to control the throttle response, shift points and suspension settings.
We really can’t wait to spend some time with the new Audi S6 4.0 TFSI Quattro, preferably on a long winding road.
