We reported in detail when the updated Porsche Panamera line up made its public debut at the 2013 Auto Shanghai earlier this year. While Porsche was pretty quick in bringing the refreshed Panamara in India by launching the updated car in October, it is only now that the carmaker has decided to bring the 2014 Porsche Panamera Turbo S variant to India. It may be noted that the latest addition to the Porsche India’s product portfolio is the fastest and most powerful Panamera variant ever!
The 2014 Porsche Panamera is powered by a 4.8-liter V8 twin turbocharged motor that has a max power of 570 hp and peak torque of 800 Nm.
The new 2014 Porsche Panamera Turbo S is capable of dismissing 100kmph from standstill in a scant 3.8 seconds and has a top whack of 310kmph. On being compared with the 2014 Panamera Turbo, the 2014 Panamera Turbo S has 50bhp of additional power. This is thanks to inclusion of two new turbochargers with larger compressors. The Turbo S also benefits from 50 Nm of additional torque.
While the prices haven’t been announced yet, It is expected that the Turbo S will be pricier than the Turbo by approx INR 25 lakhs. This means that the 2014 Porsche Panamera Turbo S could go on sale in India at a price of INR 2.25 Crores!
Bookings for the updated Porsche Panamera Turbo S are now open and it is highly likely that the deliveries will commence sometime in February next year.
