The new 2014 Hyundai Elite i20 has been launched today at a starting price of Rs. 4.89 lakh for the entry level petrol and Rs. 6.10 lakh for the base Diesel version. Lets begin with the Exteriors:
The front features a bold, hexagonal, honeycomb front grille. Headlamps sweep back and are bigger than the outgoing model. Fog lamps are wider and are surrounded by a honeycomb grille again in the chin area. For buyers who thought they would save on money spent buying fancy lights during Diwali, there are no DRL’s.
The Alloy wheels are 16 inchers featuring a diamond cut design

Blacked out C & B-pillar lends the roof-line a floating appearance.
Indicators are embedded in side-view mirrors
Vertical Tail lamps on the predecessor are now replaced by horizontally placed 3-stage tail-lamps. Bumpers are dual-tone and feature embedded reflectors, fog lamp and reversing light. A diffuser makes an appearance in matte black.
1396 cc, CRDI, Diesel engine will develop 90 ps of power and 224 Nm of torque. Operates at a high pressure of 1800 bars and is capable of good low-end torque. Will boast of an ARAI rated 22.4 kmpl efficiency figure, retains 6-speed manual gearbox.
1197 cc, Dual VTVT, Kappa Petrol Engine will develop 83 ps of power and 117 Nm of torque. Will be mated to a 5-speed gearbox and return an ARAI rated efficiency figure of 18.60 Kmpl
