Indian automotive industry has started reporting sales numbers for the month of December 2014. The numbers, so far, are positive. Reporting positive figures for December 2014, Royal Enfield recorded strong performance and posted sales of 28,634 units in combined domestic wholesale and exports in December 2014 recording a growth of 48% over same period last year.

Year to date figures for December 2014 stand at 296,370 units as against 173,864 units in the same period last year reporting a growth of 70%. The total year to date business in December 2014 too has seen an increase of 70% as the sales jumped from 178,120 to 302,591 units.
