More spy pics of the upcoming Nissan Terrano

Added in: News

The upcoming Nissan Terrano refuses to go out of news! What we have here today is yet another spy pic of the eagerly awaited compact crossover.

The Terrano will be unveiled in India this month and sales are expected to commence by late September. The Terrano would rival the Renault Duster and the Ford EcoSport. The Nissan Terrano compact crossover will be manufactured at Nissan’s Oragadam facility and would be more than merely being a product of badge engineering.

The styling of the Nissan Terrano’s front end remains true to the official sketch that you can see above. From a close inspection of the spy pics, design details such as the honeycomb treatment for the front grill and basic form of the headlights can be easily made out. The Terrano will have a revised front fascia that will consist of a new bumper, new headlamps and a completely new front grille.

As can be seen in the second official sketch that we have here, the Terrano will also have a new tailgate and new design motif for the tail lamps.

In profile, the Terrano will be seen carrying a straight crease in the lower half of its body. It may be noted that the Duster has an inverted-U like crease. The car also sports different alloy wheels, which would be more stylish than those on Duster, and is likely to come with a new set of taillamps, along with a slightly revised fifth door and a new rear bumper.

On the inside, the car will get a slightly revised dashboard that will come with a revised instrument binnacle, and differently shaped air con vents.

The upcoming Nissan Terrano could be slightly pricier than the Duster. We feel that the Terrano could be priced around INR 50,000 to 75,000 higher than the Renault Duster and justifying the higher price tag of the Terrano could be a longer features & equipment list.
